SURVIVE Program: $2,000 In-Kind Donations
When a tiny defenseless newborn is barely born with Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) and within days is sent into open heart surgery.
They must then heal, avoid infection, other complications, and try to stay on their normal growth and development track.
That’s where Bright Heart Foundation’s SURVIVE Program comes in!
Through our SURVIVE Program, we have collaborated with the pediatric cardiac healthcare experts to fulfill the carefully curated wish lists to properly care for the most vulnerable patients – babies with CHD. These items include, swaddles, pacifiers, crib sheets, stuffed animals, toys, etc.
On August 5, 2021, Bright Heart Foundation in partnership with the Nashville Predators Foundation presented $2,000 worth of in-kind donations to take care of those sweet children and encourage their families and healthcare team members to stay in their ongoing fight with their children by softening the sterile environment of their hospital.
THRIVE Program: $3,000 In-Kind Donations
Once that tiny baby is healing properly from their surgeries, then they enter Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapies to try to overcome complications and setbacks and reach their developmental markers.
That’s where Bright Heart Foundation’s THRIVE Program comes in!
Through our THRIVE Program, we reached out to those inpatient and outpatient pediatric cardiac therapists to fill in any gaps in the care and services that they provide to assist those children like therapy benches, mirrors, play mats, flash cards, toys, hand bikes, etc to encourage baby to play and reach their full potential.
On August 5, 2021, Bright Heart Foundation in partnership with the Nashville Predators Foundation also presented $3,000 worth of in-kind donations to take care of those sweet children fighting CHD.
