Thursday, March 21, 2019 – It was a gorgeous spring evening when our friends at the beautiful Legacy Farms in Lebanon, TN graciously opened their doors to support Bright Heart Foundation for a fundraiser. They provided wonderful food from their catering company, A Catered Affair, for our patrons to enjoy cocktail style while another brave family told about their son’s journey with Congential Heart Disease. That evening we honored Jacob Bilodeau’s journey and his family just a few short days away from his 1st birthday celebration! Jacob was born with Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome and continues to fight hard every day alongside his loving family, including his big brother who he adores! Joey and Becky Bilodeau stood courageously and told about their personal struggles and triumphs that they have experienced up to this point. Their friends and family where their supporting them and soaking up every word as Becky spoke through her tears of joy for baby Jacob. Jacob’s personal cardiologist, Dr. Ann Kavanagh, was also there to speak on behalf of the doctors, nurses, and many other medical team members that partner with families like the Bilodeaus every day. She was able to spread education about CHD and awareness of the monies needed to support the ongoing research. We appreciate the courage that it took for the family and their doctor to use Jacob’s journey to inspire charitable giving to the patients, families and physicians of the CHD community throught Bright Heart Foundation!
