Wed, July 22, 2020 – Past the bedtime of some of the participants, a Zoom call fires up with multiple smiling faces of CHD Heart Warriors and one known face in the group, Kyle Turris of the Nashville Predators hockey team. Kyle decided to use his celebrity to lift the spirits of some sweet families not only living during an unprecendented pandemic, but also with the struggles of Congenital Heart Defects (CHD). Kyle first learned a few facts about this little-known disease that affects so many and then when right to work. He took time to answer questions from the joyful little faces of all ages asking and array of questions, such as how he became a professional hockey player, does he have a arch nemesis while on the ice, and what it’s like to hang out with Gnash, the teams beloved mascot. The adults and children alike from all across the states like Connecticut, Georgia, Maine, Tennessee, as well as one family living in the U.K. were blessed by this hour-long chat and encouraged to keep their hope during such trying times. Special thanks to Kyle Turris and the Nashville Predators Foundation Empowered by Smile Direct Club! We are honored to be your trusted partner.
