The Nashville Predators Foundation Empowered by Smile Direct has chosen Bright Heart Foundation as an honored $5,000 grant recipient for the second year in a row. The Preds recongnize their pivotal role in helping their smallest 7th man fan, which are the little-known children suffering with Congenital Heart Defects (CHD). They are focused on helping raise awareness about CHD which is currently killing twice as many children as cancer.
We are pleased that they continue to partner with us and fund our “SURVIVE” and “THRIVE” Programs. This year Bright Heart Foundation allocated the funds to all be focused to provide essential items to help those children that are inpatient at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt to work through their surgeries and every day struggles through physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech. The staff in the unit were able to provide curated lists of items that they felt would assist them with doing their work with these children. Here is some feedback we have already received, ” I wanted to let you know that your gifts have already been used for helping our cardiac babies. A little one used the red push buttons to help communicate with his mama. And he loved it! Thank you again for these gifts and helping us help these sweet kiddos.”
